Building the fair

2880

Dead material is being linked together in a flexible way to create motion.
2880 is a spatial installation that shows the various applications of a concept
whose main characteristic is flexibility. The interior is flexible and removable
and it can be combined for different kind of needs. The composition is flexible
because it is resilient. A combination of these design solutions causes pouring
of the light through the room.

‘Imaginaire’

‘Imaginaire’ is a mobile and lighting fixture, which through the movement
of its fragments aims to inspire the imagination to reconstruct the suspended hollow cube.
The imagination is also presentwithin the room, as it follows the projected shadows that
continually change in their scale and dimensions.

Family Cabinet

Family Cabinet

I made this cabinet with a vision of making an item that could
contain board games and other valuable things that we don’t really have a specific
placefor; -things that bring joy for the whole familyand gather us togetherin
laughter.  When the cabinet is open it entices us to play and
when it’s closedit stands alone with pride!

Sign

When I think of light, I see a leader.
In this way, light and street signs are related.
They both exist, mainly to guide us.

Thin sheets of plywood, shapes a Volume.
The lamp has an anonymous expression
with a spatiality from a different angle.
The light source is hidden but exposed.
Quiet but alive,in an urban environment.

Junebug

Interior design fabric; original pattern
screen-printed by hand.

The soft and rounded shapes convey movement and
flowery impressions of nature. The inspiration is
taken from a magnified close up of a meadow, which in
its repetitive patterns is reminiscent of more
summers to come.

Simple imperfection

Inspired by ‘Wabi-Sabi’, The Japanese philosophy about the beauty of the imperfection and
impermanence. It is authentic and simple. The marks show the stories and time that left
behind. Using the dip-dyeing technique to create unpredicted pattern. Hand-weaving
gathering together the threads that create surface and represented the passage of time
enriching the value of my work.

Vase

My inspiration comes from the rough aspect of the city and its elements. “Vase” is a
decorative object made of lightweight concrete. It plays on the notion of outdoor-indoor by
turning concrete into a domestic material, suitable for the house. “Vase” is a modern way of
presenting flowers. Thanks to the pattern of holes on the top of the product the flowers are
individually held in place and planted into reused glass jar containers. “Vase” is an object that
plays with the mix of an industrial material and the fragility and the lightness of flowers.
